Artistic craftsmanship in the service of philanthropy
Project overview
Ateliers Blandenier, a Geneva watchmaking subcontractor, created PARVIS to promote Métiers d’Art transparently and independently, beyond the confidentiality imposed by major brands. PARVIS — Partenaires, Art, Rencontres, Vision, Innovation, Suisse — brings together some 75 partners around one purpose: “artistic craftsmanship in the service of philanthropy.” Jean-Claude Biver is PARVIS Patron; Carole Hubscher (Caran d’Ache), its Colour Patron.
Its mission: to turn know-how into tangible impact. Independent watchmaker Ludovic Ballouard donates a watch; HEAD – Genève students imagine the design of the dial decoration through the “Watchmaking Art × Culinary Art” competition; Ateliers Blandenier create the decoration in grand feu enamel and hand engraving.
The winning project, “Quel Homard Est-Il ?”, was auctioned by Phillips on 9 May 2026 for CHF 152,400, fully donated to Paint a Smile. The funds support several Swiss paediatric projects. The first, completed in Baden in 2026, benefits paediatric emergency and inpatient care, serving some 23,000 patients aged 0–16 annually.
Through its partners, annual magazine and 11 events dedicated to the PARVIS community during Season 1, the project sustains partner engagement and transparently documents the journey from creation and auction to the use of funds and social impact.
PARVIS thus brings together Métiers d’Art, transmission, partnership and philanthropy in a concrete, measurable and lasting approach.
