Project overview

Eight images, eight moments, one continuous pursuit. The pursuit of an idea.

Ikepod archetypes are not shapes to be repeated, but ideas to pursue. The Minipod is one such illustration, as is this campaign:

Eight Polaroids capture eight fragments of an imagined day – The Piano Lesson, The Office, The Breakfast, The Game, The Outfit, The Party… Each scene is different.

The choice of Polaroid is not nostalgic. Immediate, tangible, imperfect, it records an instant rather than constructing an ideal image. The handwritten captions make each photograph feel like a moment that already belongs to memory.

But the eight images also tell another story: the Minipod extends an idea explored by Ikepod with the Manatee in 2001 that of a rectangular Ikepod. Twenty-five years later, the very idea of Ikepod design continues
