Project overview

Editorial photoshoots – through storytelling and artistic endeavour watches are shown in new ways that make people dream.

But what should a photoshoot be in 2026? How do you stand out and create emotions in a daily tsunami of images? I believe you can do that by combining old-school watch photography with videography and the latest AI tools in order to create moving stories that could not have been made even with million dollar Hollywood budgets. This film doing exactly that, was made by Mierswa+Kluska with an initial brief from WorldTempus/Anders Modig Davin. To combine AI tools with classical watch photography is reminiscent to contemporary watchmaking where you first create a raw component with the help of a CNC machine, followed by painstaking hours of artisanal handwork. To combine these techniques also allowed us to use this both for film and for high resolution luxurious print.

Since timekeeping and architecture were always intrinsically linked, we decided to fuse them both in Dawn of Time, which is inspired by some of the strongest designs in watchmaking and brutalist architecture. The result is a horological and architectural dream with elements of a Rorschachtest.

Welcome to a brave new world of watch imagery. Enjoy!
